EEC & Elementary Vision Statement
We, the EEC and Elementary Staff at RLCA, are committed to providing your children a Christ-centered education based on a biblical worldview in a loving and challenging academic environment.
The elementary program consists of grades one through five and ministers both academically and spiritually to all students. We have a staff of approximately twenty individuals both full and part-time that includes teachers, instructional assistants, a school nurse, a school secretary and a principal. Every staff member is committed to challenging your children academically with curricular materials that are researched-based and contain sound teaching methodologies. We are also committed to challenging students to grow spiritually in their knowledge of our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. We consistently reinforce the biblical ideal that God has a plan and purpose for each of our students’ lives.
The elementary program’s core subjects consist of Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies and Bible. We use a variety of curriculum including both secular and Christian-based texts. Our curriculum includes offerings from Abeka, Bob Jones Press, Harcourt and Scott-Foresman.
The program also includes students’ weekly participation in art, music, physical education, library and computer classes. We also offer an addtional offering of Spanish for students in grades 1st through 4th, with the anticipated addition of 5th grade Spanish in the 2011-2012 school year.
